Florida News

With the start of the Major League Baseball season postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, we here at The Denver Post took a look at how the Rockies would fare in MLB The Show 20 on PlayStation 4. We will have a story for every game that had been scheduled until real-life baseball returns. Here’s a look at the virtual Rockies’ preseason preview. Entering Wednesday’s game, the Rockies were 68-33.

Jon Gray earned his National League-leading 15th win Wednesday, leading the Rockies over the Marlins, 3-1, at Coors Field.

Gray (15-2) allowed just one run on six hits and struck out seven in seven innings of work. He had just one blemish: a solo home run to Jon Berti to start off the game. Closer Scott Oberg picked up his 32nd save of the year.

Colorado (69-33) has a 10 1/2-game lead over the Dodgers (59-44) for first place in the National League West. The Rockies and Marlins (40-62) play the finale of their four-game series on Thursday. Antonio Senzatela (7-3) takes on Miami’s Sandy Alcantara (5-9).
