Florida Highway Patrol troopers continue to investigate a head-on collision that left a 45-year-old man dead and two Brevard County men seriously injured late Friday in Orange County.
The deadly crash happened about 10:10 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Colonial Drive and Berkeley Street in Bithlo, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Efrain Delawrence, of Chuluota, was killed in the crash. He was wearing a seat belt, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Two Brevard County men traveling in a 2012 Volkswagen were also seriously injured. The men, identified as Clint Vinson, 20, of Cocoa and Kyle McFall, 21, of Mims, were both transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment. Both men – who were wearing seat belts – were listed in serious condition.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Delawrence was traveling westbound on Colonial Drive in his 2010 Mazda when he lost control. Troopers said the vehicle rolled over the grass median and into the path of the Volkswagen.
The crash remains under investigation.
