Police are investigating after surveillance footage showed a woman possibly being abducted by a man at a fast food restaurant in southwest Miami-Dade.

The woman was taken against her will from the Wendy’s at 16208 Southwest 88th Street in Kendall around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Miami-Dade Police said.

Surveillance footage showed the woman pleading with employees to help her as a man argued with her over the counter. The man, who was holding the woman’s purse, grabbed her arm and forcefully pulled her out of the restaurant, police said.

“Restaurant employees called for police assistance as the victim braced herself on the door frame, unsuccessfully trying to escape abduction,” police said in a news release.

Witnesses said the man and woman left in a black Chrysler 300 sedan. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
